Flat Lake Festival 2008: Dawe and Muldoon

1) The Butty Barn is a working barn converted for the Flat Lake Festival's readings and concerts. Children's cries are audible throughout this reading. 2) Muldoon reads 'The Old Country' in two parts. Paul Muldoon: http://www.paulmuldoon.net/ 3) Gerald Dawe: http://www.gerald-dawe.net/ 4) Flat Lake Festival: http://www.theflatlakefestival.com/home 5) Several other poets were recorded at the 2008 Flat Lake Festival, including Ciaran Carson (who performed alongside his wife), Medbh McGuckian and George McWhirter. See SR.PUB.CarsonFlatLake and GR.FlatLakeTrio. Poets Michael Longley and Seamus Heaney also read at the festival but were not recorded. 6) Both Dawe and Muldoon have close ties with the Seamus Heaney Centre, QUB. The SHCDA, as the name might indicate, houses many examples of readings given by members of the Seamus Heaney Centre faculty, as well as writers associated with the Centre. See, as examples: GR.Academi08, GR.Blackbird, GR.HeanSumSch07, GR.HeanSumSch08, GR.StPatHean07, GR.IrishScotSymp, GR.Washington1, GR.Washington2, GR.MacNeice1, GR.MacNeice3, SR.PUB.Flynn1, SR.PUB.CarsonCollect, SR.PUB.McGuckian1 and SR.PUB.Longley1.
